"NARCISSISM" FEATURED IN APPLE MUSIC'S BREAKING ORIGINAL PILIPINO MUSIC

Apple Music: Breaking Original Pilipino Music

"Narcissism" nabs 25th spot in Apple Music's Breaking Original Pilipino Music

Whenever I release a new song, I honestly have never really tried checking my statistics in Apple Music as I didn't particularly think I had any chance there. Like I have 0% chances at all.

When we released "Narcissism" -- it was the same routine, I focused on promoting on other streaming platforms. Actually, I once felt really down when I didn't get into any major playlists on Spotify. Ditto Music then told me that the song was surely for playlist feature had it only been submitted earlier. Disappointed, yeah, but I just went on with my life, promote the song as much as I can even without the help of getting into any playlists.

However, while I was creating publications for the one month recap of Narcissism release.. as soon as I was done creatively dumping my Youtube and Spotify statistics on my editor and was ready to download the file to prepare for posting — I don’t know — out of nowhere, there was a small voice in my head that's pushing me to check my stats in Apple Music. So I did because my instincts never failed me. I never really looked around Apple Music artist’s profile as it's honestly not tita-friendly but I did it anyway.

I was shocked at first when I saw that my top cities are Seoul and Los Angeles, it was crazy! But as I was checking things out, it gets even weirder — I saw a playlist and it says that my song is placed at #25. I immediately checked it out and see if it was a personal playlist or an editorial playlist. I was appalled when I found out that it was indeed an editorial playlist and it features "songs that are about to make a huge impact".

To be featured in an editorial playlist is already a huge honor but for it to be in Apple Music, a platform I have always thought I had no chance, is just a miracle for me. To add, it's not just a playlist — to be added in a playlist that the curators think will make a huge impact just makes me think that I'm doing the right thing and all the hardships and heartaches are finally getting all the worth it deserves.

I am beyond grateful for all the things that Pink Trash Project has been receiving. It's a song that's dearest to me as it openly talks about all the things I have gone through. Thank you to everyone who's been giving love to me and my band.

In addition, Brendan and Von's main band - 7th's Kita Kita is on the 10th spot of this playlist! It's such fun to share a spot on the same playlist with them!
